An Exciting Year Ahead!

I hope you are all enjoying your last week of the summer holidays! I'm looking forward to seeing you all next week and hearing about what you have been up to. We have a fantastic year ahead of us!

As we get closer to the start of the new school year, it is time to start thinking about getting ready. You might have already bought new school shoes or perhaps had a haircut, but it's also time to think about what else you can do to be ready.

Have a think about these questions:

What are you looking forward to this year?

Is there anything you are worried about? What could you do to feel less worried?

What do you hope to achieve this year? How will you achieve it?

What might you need to improve on this year? Have you got a target you would like to meet? Perhaps learning all of your times tables, reading more books, joining a new club or learning to swim a length of the pool?

These are all great things to think about before coming back to school next week. Perhaps you could talk about these questions with an adult or older brother or sister. Could they help you to achieve your goals this year?

Fun Summer Games!

 Source: behavenkids

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer holiday!

Make sure you are getting outside with a grown up and doing lots of fun things in the fresh air!

When you are spending some time on the computer, you might like to try these cool new games. Click on the pictures to play the games. Remember to check with an adult before you play any other games on the internet.

Grand Prix

This is my favourite times tables game! You pick a car, then race against other players. If you can answer the questions fastest, you move further along the track. See if you can beat the other cars!

ROLLERCOASTER RUSH
An exciting theme park game!

Maths Penalty Shoot Out

Have a try at this fun game- it will really challenge you! There are lots of levels to try, let me know how you get on!

Tate Paint

https://kids.tate.org.uk/games/paint/

This is a super game from the Tate Modern (free to visit with lots of wonderful things to see). Create your own masterpiece! Why not make some art at home over the holidays too? Find some paper, or use whatever your parents have spare at home (leaves from the park, cereal boxes, biros... you can find inspiration anywhere!)
